Operation Kino 69: Shakin’ It To Magic Mike & Half of 2012 In Review
This week on Operation Kino we’re waxing our chests and strapping on G-strings, as we review the new Steven Soderbergh/Channing Tatum male stripper movie Magic Mike. From there we look over the year so far, pointing out our favorite and least favorite movies of the year, along with some of our favorite surprises. But before any of that, Da7e tackles the depiction of women in Girls and The Legend of Korra, David talks up the Steven Soderbergh documentary about Spalding Gray called And Everything Is Going Fine, Katey praises the new indie release Beasts of the Southern Wild, and Patches is surprised to love Seth MacFarlane’s Ted.
Never watch Korra on a full stomach. Devindra and Da7e helped me see the light on this episode. The Batman/Beifong comparisons enter The Dark Knight Rises territory in today’s episode.
